Project Pan Them All | December Empties

Hi ladies! I have fallen super behind in blogging, actually I feel like I never really truly got back to it since coming back from Europe this summer. I had to get my personal life back on track - which was not always easy - then I started a comapny with my sister in law, and then, in the blink of an eye, Christmas was upon us! Now that things have calmed down after the chaos of the Holidays, I feel like I am ready to commit to blogging again. Maybe not everyday, like I was used to some times ago, but definitely one or two articles a week. Quality before quantity, right? Thank you for sticking with me ladies!

I found Natureplex Hydrocortisone Cream Maximum Strength in a Dollar Tree while I was in Wildwood a few years ago, and it was actually great at relieving the red and itchy rashes all over my body due to my radioactivity exposure when I went swimming in an abandoned mine this summer - yes, I know. The tube is very small and I used it very quickly, but I guess for $1, it's still nice!

Since I have discovered Marcelle Essentials Purity Soothing Cleansing Water, I am absolutely sold on cleansing water, and at $10 (instead of $23.50) at Clarins Fall Warehouse Sale, I simply could not pass up NUXE Micellar Cleansing Water with 3 Roses and Green Tea! I does not work as great as my HG from Marcelle and I would not repurchase it, but it still leaves my face smooth, clean and fresh.

I was recommended Pro-Derm Hydrogel from the doctor I consulted when I had my monstruous allergic reaction after I went swimming in a supposedly radioactive lake (as mentioned above). Made with a synergy of plant and marine ingredients to ensure exceptional efficiency, Hydrogel is claimed to rapidly soothe sensible skin. Its usage is recommended after aesthetics interventions or to regenerate the skin’s protective film after bathing, showering or shaving. I did not find it especially moisturizing and I was disappointed with how fast I used it up, especially given its expensive price - around $60! Not to mention this is my second tube...

Nothing really seems to work for the eczema on my hands, and Karen told me how great Aveeno Active Naturals Eczema Care Cream* worked for her a long time ago (hence why I purchased it before going cruelty-free), but sadly, it is not the case for me. Not matter how consistently I use it, I always have to go back to my cortisone creams. Not to mention that it seems to burn my hands more than anything else...

LUSH Heñata Bath Bomb was the cutest bath bomb! Quite simply, this is like a piñata for the bath - but it’s a hen, so it’s a Heñata (get it? awwww!). This cutie has to be smashed against the side of the bath so it can release soap paper flower petals to scrub up with. It is perfumed with fresh and citrusy tangerine, bergamot and mandarin oils - yum!

I always have to be careful not to take a too hot bath because of my sensitive skin and my eczema, but LUSH The Melting Snowman Bath Melt truly has skin-softening properties. Cocoa butter and almond oil nourish and soften the skin, while cinnamon leaf invigorates and help shake off fatigue.

I bought Freeman Goodstuff Organics Moisture Shea Butter Vitamin E Whipped Body Butter back in 2010 so I am a bit ashamed to feature it now, but I have used it up pretty quickly recently. I remember buying two tubes of this and being amazed after using the first one, but I guess I wasn't struggling that much with eczema because now this just seem to have done absolutely nothing for my skin. Totally rubbish. Although it still smells divine!

For some reasons, I prefer to pamper my feet in the winter, although it would be more logical to take care of them in the summer... but Eucerin Intensive Repair Extra-Enriched Foot Cream was actually great! Not too thick yet not too thin, it seemed to sink right in, leaving my feet super soft and smooth.

Yes, I realize Degree Invisible Sheer Powder Anti-Perspirant* is not cruelty-free, but it was a gift, and I have yet to find a product not tested on animals that works just as well and that smells just as good. This will be tough. Help, please?

OOTD | All this time I was finding myself & I didn't know I was lost

Hi ladies! I am sure I am not the only one who is starting to get excited about Fall and the colder weather, which means it's time for cozy cardigans, scarves, scented candles and pumpkin-everything! Fall might as well be my favorite season - the nature looks super gorgeous, it's not too cold and there is no snow yet!

scarf - eBay | tank top - Forever21 | sweater - DIY | jeggings - Walmart

I went to have dinner at my brother's and I knew we would sit by a bonfire in his yard afterward, so I figured out I would wear something warmer yet cozy. I was given this super soft sweater by a friend of my mother but it had a weird neckline that did not compliment me at all, so I just decided to chop it off and wear it off my shoulders, paired with a tank top. I chose to accessorize this rather simple outfit with my favorite leopard print scarf and my super comfy Miley Cyrus & Max Azria jeggings.

Oh yes, and I finally had my hair "fixed" at Salon Jacques Laurent! I absolutely love how they keep a card with the name of the customers on it and what they had done to their hair for future reference, which saves a lot of time explaining exactly what you want, especially if you don't have the same hairdresser as last time. I requested a burgundy with more purple than red in it, and I am pretty happy with the results!

Are you excited about Fall as well?

OOTD | Don't make me, cause I'll do it, red button and we'll all go

I was over the moon to have been able to go see my favorite band, Billy Talent, for the second time in my life at Montreal's Bell Center on April 13! My boyfriend was able to buy tickets for the Dead Silence tour before they were sold out, and it was awesome that he came to see them with me since we don't really share the same musical tastes (in my opinion, Justin Bieber is not music, for example). Billy Talent always puts on quite an epic show and this time was no different! They played an interesting mix of old and new songs to keep the crowd entertained all night long, and I never wanted the show to end! I was a bit disappointed that Sum 41 have been forced to drop off the remaining dates of the Dead Silence tour because of Deryck's recurring back problems, but at least Monster Truck took over and they were great!

I don't have much of an interesting outfit to show you but I wanted to be comfortable and not get all hot and sweaty when I would be jumping everywhere, so I put together something really simple. I also had the opportunity to wear my leopard print flats for the first time since I bought them last year!

striped shirt - Walmart | Sqin jeans - H&M | studded belt - local flea market | leopard print flats - Sears | earrings - Ardene

When I went to see Billy Talent for the first time a few years ago, I bought a male shirt in small which I wore as a pajama but that I eventually lost (?!), so I was over the moon when I saw that they were selling ladies shirt at the show, and my boyfriend very kindly bought me the skull one! I love it so much, I never want to take it off now ahah!

Do you love Billy Talent as much as I do?

FOTD & OOTD | Looking for some trouble tonight, take my hand, I'll show you the wild, side

tunic w/ belt - San Francisco | blazer - Suzy Shier | leggings - eBay | tan - St Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse 'Dark' | hair color - Revlon ColorSilk - 'Burgundy 48'

When you are wearing a uniform five days a week for work as I do, you don't really have the opportunity to take pictures for an interesting OOTD post, but recently, I had to dress up and jumped at the chance to show you my outfit! I can't say I love fall but I guess it's still better than winter because it's not too cold yet for leggings, which happens to be one of my favorite thing to wear. I like to pair leggings with tops and even with shorts - they are just so versatile and so much more comfy than jeans!

  nail polish - Julep 'Alyson'ankle bracelet - Anji | flats - Walmart

Wildwood Shopping | Ross and Walmart

I enjoyed a much needed holiday in Wildwood, NJ, last week with my mother and my boyfriend and even though our hobby of choice is to relax on the beach and "play" in the ocean - my boyfriend and I almost drowned, but that's another story - we do like to wander around at night, especially in shops that we don't have here in Canada.

I did not really need something in particular when I stepped foot in Ross - which is the US equivalent of Winners, if I'm right? - but of course, some pieces of clothing catched my attention and at these prices, I simply could not pass them up! I did not go crazy though and I only left with two items, which go amazingly well together!

If you know me, you are surely well aware of my love for animal prints, so when I spotted this $5.99 leopard print tank, I did not even hesitate because, yes, it's a very basic tank, but still I don't have any with animal prints! Plus, it just goes so well with everything and it can easily dress up any outift.

Then, I fell in love with this $19.99 red faux-leather (of course!) cropped jacket - I have a thing for motorcycle jacket, and it's even better if it's cropped and if it has zippers. I bought it in Small and even though it does run small and it's not very stretchy, I love it and I can't wear for the weather to get a bit colder to wear it out!

Of course, we had to stop by Walmart! Honestly, the only reason why I really wanted to go there is because I remembered they sold Revlon ColorSilk hair color for less than $3, which is not even readily available in Canada for some stupid reasons, and having already tried this hair dye in Brown Black 20, I could not wait to try it in Burgundy, so I picked up the last two boxes. I also noticed that their packaging has changed and the formula seems to have been improved because it now features UV Defense. I even already used one box - you can see the results in the picture of me modelling my purchases - but of course, I will write a complete post about it.

FOTD + OOTD | I am a wild one tame me now, running with wolves & I'm on the prowl

I'm incredibly relieved to finally be done with school - in fact, I actually find it hard to believe! Not to mention the strike and all - we voted to end the strike at the university where I'm going just in time because a few days after, the government announced that the students who were still on strike would finish their winter classes... in September! WTF?

Anyway, the purpose of this post is not to set a debate regarding this but to show you my first FOTD and OOTD in ages! The reason for this is that since I have been on strike, I have been working full time and my uniform is not exactly interesting, so I jumped at the opportunity to take pictures of some proper makeup and outfit that I wore to class - I even had a special guest...
