eos Lip Balm Smooth Sphere

As always, I am super late to jump on the bandwagon, and I did struggle to resist the temptation of adding a 38746628902589784672890th lipbalm to my already overflowing collection, but EdenFantasys made me do it. They always have some kind of hard to resist promotions such as 15% off any order with this code, 25% orders over $80 with another code, etc., and I happened to have a gap of around $8 in one of my previous order to be able to benefit of a promotion, so eos Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet somehow made its way into my cart.

I had see enough pictures of this cutie on the blogosphere to be quite familiar with it, but I could not help falling in love with its adorable and unique packaging when I rushed to get it out of the box. I was surprised by how smooth and sturdy the little egg felt - it is actually made of thick plastic that reminds me of rubber. It does not feel cheap at all, like I expected! Cuteness aside, let's be realistic here though - I can imagine this packaging being impractical in the long run since it won't fit easily into pockets, it does take some room in  my handbag, and that kind of plastic gets dirty really easily.

When I unscrew the cap, I was blown away by an amazing fruity fragrance, when I was expecting it to smell chemical - what I did not know is that this lip balm contained actual blueberry, strawberry and peach fruit extracts! The smell is not overpowering though, but it is very pleasant, and I am always looking forward to using it again just to get another sniff of it. Never one to resist sweet and fruity fragrances, of course I had to get Strawberry Sorbet, and you know what? I even tasted it and yes, it is absolutely delicious!

The smooth sphere of the lip balm coats my lips perfectly in a single swipe, but I can't help wondering what the application will be like once the top starts to flatten?eos Lip Balm is not waxy like Burt's Bees Beeswax Lipbalm, but I can't say it is exactly creamy either - let's just say it is a nice mix of the two. The consistency is perfect and I can actually feel the product on my lips, which is great since I know they are being properly protected. I don't feel the need to constantly re-apply this lip balm, even though it sure does not last all day and it is probably not the most moisturizing lip balm I have tried, but it does work well.

eos Lip Balm Smooth Sphere is 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. It is available in six flavors at EdenFantasys for $7.99 - let's just hope they will carry the new Pomegranate Raspberry version soon!

  4. Ohh I love these little balms. I'm a bit particular about scents and the two I have smell sooo good... honeysuckle (actually just about used up) and summerfruit. I'll have to try this scent! :)

  6. On a jamais trop de baumes à lèvres hahaha! (sérieux, je pense que c'est le produit que je possède le plus, surtout des Lips Smackers ... j'ai les lèvres sèches, mais je ne passe pas au travers toute ma collection!)

  8. ahhh I ALWAYS want to buy this one because I FREAKING love the scents they have and i am glad to hear this one didn't disappoint. I had no idea it had fruit extracts either, interesting! It does look like a boiled egg though lol

  9. I've used one of mine down to the flat point and it just becomes more like a normal Chapstick only extra wide so covers all your lips at once! I agree it is a nice combination is smoothness but not too buttery.

  10. You're right - the application would start to get a little messy once the top has flattened. I guess you'd just have to use your fingers to transfer the product. Sounds like it smells amazing though :)
