Vitamine & Sea Mineral Clay Mask

When I was approached by Vitamine & Sea to sample a few of their products, I must say I was not sure about their Mineral Clay Mask at first because most of these masks tend to be too drying for my already parched skin, but I could not resist to give it a go.

Vitamine & Sea Mineral Clay Mask is a natural and organic luxury facial mask made with clay mined directly from the Dead Sea, which claims to promote instantly radiant, tighter, softer and healthier skin. It is also enriched with vitamins B1, B2, C, A, D and E from sweet almond oil to pamper your skin and a touch of honey that will protect from daily free radical damage and balance your skins moisture.

I can never resist cute vintage packaging, so I was imediately won over by the gorgeous jar - I am already thinking or re-using it as a makeup brush holder! I love how I simply need to dip my finger in it in order to scoop out the exact quantity of product I need instead of having to struggle with a not-so-squeezable and messy tube. Also, the jar is sealed so tightly that at first, I thought I would never be able to open it! However, this ensures that the mask won't dry out so soon.

The moment I scooped out some product to apply it to my skin, I fell in love with the amazingly thick and rich texture - I can't stand runny or sticky face masks! - that goes on super smoothly on the skin, and because it is so rich, you really only need a small quantity of product to cover your whole face.

After slathering the Mineral Clay Mask on, something weird happened - my whole face started to tingle! As stupid as it sounded, I was super freaked out because I thought I was having an allergic reaction, so I ran to read the instructions on the website and I was relieved to learn that it is the Dead Sea clay that actually tingles as it softly exfoliates, eliminates toxins, promotes circulation, cleanses and strengthens your skin.

I have found that the clay mask hardens pretty quickly on the skin but it never becomes uncomfortable, although after 10 minutes, the tingling started to be a bit too much for my dry skin and I was scared the mask would dry it out or give me eczema flare ups so I washed it off. I was left with surprisingly soft, tight but not dry skin - although not especially moisturized either.

Made from certified organic ingredients, vegan, fair trade and cruelty-free, The Mineral Clay Mask is available on Vitamine & Sea website for $62.00.

  1. I had a sample of this in one of my subscription boxes. The tingling is pretty cool! I'm dry as well so I don't use clay masks but this one was pretty good for dry skin.

  2. If you do not want the mask to harden very quick just spray it with water time to time:) I am huge fan of those masks so I have special spray for it:)

  3. En effet, le petit pot est vraiment cute! Mais je déteste me sentir pognée dans un masque trop sec et avoir la peau qui tiraille :(

En tout cas, t'es pas mal belle avec de la bouette dans la face :P (commentaire inutile)
