KARIDERM - Beauty And Well-Being With Shea Butter

Flash Beauté, which owns the brand KARIDERM, is a company working in the field of beauty and body care. Based in Laval (Quebec, Canada), Flash Beauté manufactures products made with unrefined Shea butter imported directly from Burkina Faso. KARIDERM commits to offering effective products made with active natural ingredients of the highest quality and their products are not tested on animals and are Ecocert certified.

KARIDERM products are entirely natural, certified organic and developed for all skin types. Because they use unrefined Shea butter, their products are high-quality, moisturizing, nourishing, protective and regenerative for the skin. Shea butter is the richest vegetable fat in unsaponifiables, a class of organic complexes that act directly on the health of skin cells.

The Moisturizing Shower Gel ($11.95), based on shea oil and a fennel seed extract, is a gentle cleanser that will protect your skin thanks to is antioxidant action. Nicely enriched with some Tiare flower extract, it leaves a thin protective layer on skin, which I have never experienced with a shower gel before, and makes it look silky fresh, but never greasy. When you squeeze the shower gel out of the bottle, it looks like an oil and it does not really foam, but it goes on super silky on the skin, leaving it soft, supple and moisturized. It is an absolute delight for my parched, irritated and eczema-prone skin, and I don't even feel the need to apply body lotion after using this shower gel!

KARIDERM Exfoliating Gel

I tend to be really picky when it comes to face scrubs and I can't say I was extremely pleased with the Gentle Facial Scrub Exfoliating Gel ($12.95), but from its name, I should have expected that it would not be an abrasive scrub, just like I personally prefer them. Enriched with marine phytoplankton, vegetable oils and citrus fruits extracts, this scrub gently refines the surface of the skin, eliminates dead skin cells and promotes cellular renewal, enhancing skin radiance, firmness and vitality. It has a very unique firm gel-like texture with tiny exfoliating beads that does not feel rough at all once rubbed on the skin. I would recommend this exfoliating gel to someone who has sensitive skin, but for me, it just does not feel abrasive enough and I don't really notice any difference when I use it.

KARIDERM Foot Care Cream

I quickly fell in love with the Foot Care Cream ($17.95) which softens and refreshes the skin. It is particularly invigorating thanks to its essential oils (eucalyptus, rosemary, cypress and mint) which stimulate blood circulation while eliminating odours. It is ideal for foot and leg massage to alleviate the heaviness in the legs, or to increase muscle responsiveness in sports. I always prefer my foot creams to smell fresh and this one smells really menthol-y, which is amazing after a long day at work! I love how this cream really soften my feet after only a few uses.

KARIDERM products are available online and in selected retail outlets accross Canada.

  4. Hi Gaby! Great review as always - this brand sounds pretty promising. I haven't tried a shower gel that looks like an oil and doesn't foam up...but with that being said I would definitely consider getting a shower gel like the Kariderm one that makes skin silky and soft. I love a foot cream that has menthol in it or peppermint of some sort - I agree that it really is a treat after being on your feet all day :)
