Batiste Dry Shampoo

Batiste Dry Shampoo banishes oily roots, giving dull, lifeless hair the makeover it needs without any water. A burst of Batiste not only refreshes hair, but leaves it full of body and texture! So whatever last minute plans come up, you can grab life by the hair. The UK's No.1 Dry Shampoo brand.

I'm sure you've all heard of Batiste Dry Shampoo as of now but for me, this product is still relatively new as I wasn't even aware that it was available here in Canada. I have super oily hair and as much as I want to try to wash it less, it's not always easy. I have tried numerous dry shampoos but none of them compare to Batiste!

I was super excited to be sent a selection of travel size (50ml) Batiste Dry Shampoo from the lovely people over at Farleyco. I've been sent Batiste Original, Blush and Tropical.

Batiste is simple and easy to use. Shake the can vigorously before use. Separate hair into sections and spray into roots in quick short bursts (holding the can about 30cm away from your hair). Leave for a few moments, massage through, brush out any excess and you are good to go! For extra texture and body don’t brush through.

This is how Batiste looks once sprayed on my hair

Isn't it simply amazing? My hair is instantly refreshed, lifted and texturized! At first I was worried the white residues would be hard to brush out but no, there's absolutely no white cast!

I am not afraid to say that Batiste is my favorite dry shampoo. My favorite scent has to be Tropical (fresh and coconuty). Blush smells floral but it's a little too heavy for my taste, and Original is a fresh clean smell.

Canadian residents can buy Batiste Dry Shampoo online at Farleyco for $8.99 for 150ml or $4.99 for 50ml, and in stores at Winners, Shoppers Drug Mart and Uniprix. For a full list of stockists, click here. Be sure to also check out Batiste Tones Dry Shampoos, available for $10.99 for 150ml.

Now, it's time to announce the winner of my Nail Polish Canada giveaway...

Nath! Congrats!

  5. It has never crossed my mind to try dry shampoos because I have this notion that if I don't shampoo my hair with the bubbles and all, they're not clean. Haha! But I'm amazed as to how clean your hair looks even with just this dry shampoo. :)

  7. I like using the one by got2be for now! haha Thats the only 1 I've bought and for me it doesn't leave the white cast unless I spray too much and too close and don't shake everytime I spray it. Good review I liked the pictures before and after! <3

  10. Ooh! Looks like this worked great on you! I've been reading good things about this shampoo...still haven't gotten around to trying it for myself though!

  11. I recently picked up Batiste original about a month ago, and was really impressed with how nice my hair looked afterward. I'm definitely a fan, as well!

  12. @ Carla: Really? Well you should definitely try it, it's a total life saver! I'm always amazed at how volumized and texturized my hair looks after using Batiste.

@VijiiS : Aww it's not? Have you checked their website?

@Pammy : Well of course dry shampoos don't replace a "real" shampoo but they are a definite life saver when you are in a rush!

@TheMissTwist : I'm also currently testing the one by got2b and I'm not sure it's as great as Batiste but it does work nicely too.

@dani@callitbeauty : I think the TRESemmé dry shampoo is so strange! When I first tried it, it worked really well but then it felt just... well, like you said, useless! I recently decided to give it another try and it worked great! How strange!

@ChanniiLK : I know, that's the bad side to all aerosol products ):

  20. @JosianneL1507: J'ai déjà hâte au prochain (demain) hihi!

@Nivedita: I never knew Batiste was available in Canada until the people over at Farleyco got in touch with me. Have you checked their website for all the retailers? You're lucky your sister is able to pick up some for you, I know you will love it (:

@ Cocovanilla : I didn't know it was sold in Canada until Farleyco contacted me and provided me with a list of Canadian retailers, yey!

@Evelien : I have Batiste Black (don't know if it's the one you are talking about, I'm a little lost with all the colors and name changing) but I will do a separate review on it.

@Venus In Virgo: I don't know, Blush just smells too "girly" to me...

    ReplyDelete
  24. @AngieBeautyBelle: Really? I haven't had this problem so far... maybe your scalp is more oily than mine?

  31. Wow I can really see the difference in the before and after pictures Gaby! This works a whole lot better for you than the Tresemme Dry Shampoo you did a review of sometime ago.
I actually have the Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo and it's the first one I tried (I got it from Shoppers Drug Mart). I agree the scent is a bit strong but I didn't get a chance to smell it in store before buying it :S I agree it works well :)

  32. Wow you should do a commercial for them, what amazing results. And you had me coconuty...I'm definitely looking for this on my next trip to Shoppers!

  36. I just recently bought TRESemme's fresh start dry shampoo, and had some issues, and I went to look up reviews and I keep coming accross Batiste dry shampoo, and I hope when I try this my hair looks as clean as yours do. I think I want to try the tropical, since you said floral is too heavy.

  39. Hi Gabi!

I have trouble working dry shampoo on my hair. I wrote a post about it and posted one of your pictures to illustrate this, which obviously I linked to your blog and this post. If there is any problem in me doing so, please let me know and I'll remove it.

    Thanks.
