Price: $12.25 for 3.5 OZ/100 mL
The claims:
Prettier than ever
This cool, refreshing gel dissolves all traces of makeup without leaving a sticky or greasy sensation. Its non-irritating gel formula provides instant soothing relief while skin reclaims its natural suppleness and tone. Enriched with rose water and cucumber extracts, it gently restores skin to its natural health while pampering the delicate eye area. It even helps reduce signs of fatigue, the appearance of under eye circles and puffiness. Its oil-free formula makes it a natural choice for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
Hypo-allergenic and perfume free.
Ideal for all skin types.
How to use:
Place a small amount of Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover Gel on a cotton pad. Massage on the eyelid in vertical, downward movements, then in light, circular motions around eye contour.
Ingredients:
AQUA/WATER/EAU, GLYCERIN, HEXYLENE GLYCOL, DECYL GLUCOSIDE, ROSA CENTIFOLIA FLOWER EXTRACT, CUCUMIS SATIVUS (CUCUMBER) FRUIT EXTRACT, PANTHENOL, ALLANTOIN, COCO-GLUCOSIDE, GLYCERYL OLEATE, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, TRIETHANOLAMINE, DIAZOLIDINYL UREA , IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLCARBAMATE
Pros:
- soothes and refreshes the eye contour area
- non-greasy or sticky
- doesn't leave residues
- squeezable tube
Cons:
- stings very badly if you get some in your eyes
This is the average quantity you need for one eye.
You can see that I was wearing pretty heavy makeup (see this post)
Both sides of the cotton pad after removing the makeup.
Final result!
What I think:
I have never used a gel makeup remover before so I can't compare it to any other, but I like that it's non-oily or greasy and that it doesn't leave residues behind. Altough it's true that it refreshes the eye contour area, I didn't notice that it really helps reduce signs of fatigue, the appearance of under eye circles and puffiness, like it's claimed. I also like the packaging which makes it easy to get the last bits of product.
The big downside of this product it that it stings very badly if you happen to get some in your eyes, which is very strange for a soothing eye make-up remover, don't you think? Just be careful when you are removing mascara to not get any product in your eyes.

I'm glad you like it!
ReplyDeleteApplication tip from a previously stinging eye: moisten the cotton pad with water before putting the gel on it. The gel adheres to the cotton more easily and that translates into less chances of getting the gel into your eyes :o)

I have used their liquid gentle eye makeup remover & it burned my eyes so badly. I ended up looking like I had been crying all the time, not good :( I hope this one works better for you!
ReplyDelete@Cosmétiques Marcelle Cosmetics: Thanks for the tip Isabel! I was always scared to open my eyes and get some product in it, it stings so badly!
ReplyDelete@Miss Krimson: I'm glad you found this review helpful (= I was curious about it, too!
@.R May A.. : Let me know what you think!
@Blushingloves Irene Greece : Yes it did, and my makeup was pretty heavy.
@Tracy D : Oh I don't know, I have never tried this one. It's strange that two of their makeup removers sting so bad! Yes this one works well if I'm careful to not get any into my eyes LOL.
Hmm. This sounds like a good product to try! I like that it has a gel consistency since that way, you'll get to control how much to use. It seems worth it!
ReplyDeleteit looks like a good product!

@Donna ♥ Baby: Well if I had knew that before, I certainly wouldn't have tried it, but it works well, and you just have to be careful (=

ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting tip that the Marcelle group pointed out in the comments section....but still, that's a huge downfall in my books when it comes to eye makeup remover. I did buy a Marcelle makeup remover once (it was the "gentle" one too but liquid, not gel like yours) and it did sting quite a bit when it got in my eyes which was virtually impossible not to considering I'm rubbing it in my eye area :S So needless to say, not repurchasing.
