From the cobblestone streets of SoHo, a revolution is inspired by the pulsating rhythm of New York’s fierce ever-‐changing spirit. Leading this evolution, MiN New York set out with a simple, yet demanding philosophy: The world doesn't need more products. It needs BETTER products.

After ten years of steady growth as a specialty professional beauty brand, MiN New York’s launched its flagship Apothecary & Atelier in New York City to put its lifestyle in practice. Founded on a traditional sensibility of personal service and superb quality, guests are invited to discover an edited selection of coveted fragrances along with the finest beauty and men’s grooming products from around the world. A destination for refined, global-‐minded individuals and savvy style hunters, MiN New York offers simple luxury in a New York minute.

I had the chance to try some samples of the products sold at this boutique.

A refreshing and unique facial scrub with spherical beads for light exfoliation. Multi-mineral copper, zinc + manganese polypeptide transdermally energize the skin at the cellular level. Gentle enough for daily use. Key benefits include: anti-aging, restores skin vitality, anti-acne, regenerates cells, and fights wrinkles.

I always have to be careful with face scrubs as my skin is so dry and sensitive, I don't want to trigger an eczema flare-up with an harsh product. This one doesn't contain big harsh beads, in fact, the texture reminds me of salt. It's not too rough for my skin. The scent is nice, very fresh and a little manly to me. It left my skin soooo soft!

1270 Eau de Parfum by Frapin  ($150.00 for 100mL)

Named for the year the Frapin family established itself in the Cognac region of France (and continues to make cognac to this day), 1270 was created by Beatrice Cointreau, great granddaughter of Pierre Frapin. Together with Frapin's Cellar Master, she sought to create a noble fragrance full of the scents surrounding the creation of cognac. 1270 is dry, rich, velvety and smooth. The flowers of the once-proud Folle Blanche (a grape nearly extinct from the region), the vineyard grass, the wine warehouse, the rich smell of damp earth in the cellars, the wood of new casks, the loamy smell of humus where the ancestral cognacs are stored– all these notes can be detected in 1270. Gorgeous is putting it mildly... this scent defies flowery prose. A true masterpiece.
Notes: exotic woods, spice, raisin, vine flowers, pepper, candied orange, nut, hazelnut, prune, cocoa, coffee, leather, woods, white honey, vanilla.

At first, I thought I didn't like it, as it's a little too heavy or woody for me (I prefer sweet scents), but it's growing on me. I'm very bad at describing scents, but this perfume is very sensual and spicy. To me, it smells a mix of tobacco and coffee, with a hint of butterscotch or some kinds of liquor. It is just a little sweet and it smells very natural.

This fragrance is unisex, but it smells more manly to me. My father absolutely loves it!

Recommend? yes, if you're into woody - and expensive - perfumes.

Agua de Colonia is the historic cologne from Alvarez Gomez, Madrid’s oldest and most prestigious fragrance house. This uplifting, classic citrus scent combines extracts of Lemon, Spanish Lavender, Geranium and Eucalyptus with essential oils of Rosemary, Thyme, English Lavender and Bergamot.

This ultra creamy Glycerine and Oatmeal enriched soap is wonderfully smooth yet cleanse and protect the skin thoroughly whilst imparting a light Agua de Colonia scent.

This soap is very creamy and it left my hands super soft. The herbal smell is very subtle but pleasant.I don't know what else to say about a bar of soap, except maybe that $8.00 is a little pricey?

Recommend? yes, but this soap has nothing special to me and you can surely find cheaper alternatives in your local drugstore.
