Samsung 10.1" Netbook featuring Intel Atom Processor N450P - Pearl White

I've been wanting a Notebook for university for a long time now, and I finally found the one with the help of my boyfriend:

The Samsung N150P is sleek, compact and designed to keep you in touch with your digital world. It features a 10.1" display, 160GB hard drive, Wireless N, and plenty of inputs so you can stay connected to your peripheral devices. And with an Intel Atom processor and 1GB system memory, you'll have the power to work for up to 8 hours on a single charge.

Product Features

The Intel Atom processor and 1GB system memory offer the ideal power for this mini companion. This dynamic duo helps you work with basic applications and surf the Web while the system runs fast, smooth, and for as long as 8 hours on a single charge (dependant on usage).

  • The 10.1" Led-backlit display is ultra-vibrant so everything you see is crisp and clear, while keeping the N150 compact enough to toss in your bag
  • Store your most important files on the 160GB hard drive
  • Wireless N lets you explore your online world at any wireless hotspot
  • 3 USB ports let you connect with compatible devices to work or play
  • Quickly transfer content with the 3-in-1 media card reader
  • Pre-installed Windows 7 Starter Edition

Picture and description from Best Buy.ca

It's not the most beautiful - I would have like it in black, but the only color available was this ugly pearly white -  and it's absolutely not the one I would have chosen if it wasn't for the battery life (it lasts up to 8 hours). I got it on sale at Best Buy for $319.99 instead of $349.99, which is a pretty good deal for a 6 cells. In fact, the main deciding factor for me was the battery life because I need it to be able to last through a day at uni.

 I don't like the red stripes either -_-

See how small it is? And it only weights 1.24 kg!

Of course, it requires some practice to get used to the tiny keyboard (it's a 83 keys). I'm typing so fast that I always make mistakes as I often press two keys at once.

And besides that... it has a hard drive capacity of 160 GB, so of course I won't be using it to store pictures.

  1. Oooh, nice netbook! I've been wanting a netbook for university too, so that I won't have to haul around my giant 15 inch laptop.. but of course I'm lacking the funds! Hahah, I think your new notebook is beautiful, and I'm super jealous! It's so small! Really convenient :)

  2. Nice, I really need to get me a new laptop. I've seen the netbooks, but I'm not sure I like the difference in them.

  6. I have a really similar one - it's also a Samsung and it is also white... but it looks different than yours. They are so freaking awesome for school because they weight NOTHING!

  7. @Sulora: Yes, taht is the exact reason why I wanted a netbook instead of a laptop. It's much more more weightless and smaller.

    @Stephine: "The difference in them"... I don't get what you mean? The difference between laptops and netbooks?

    @Blushingloves: Yes but it's a pearly white... strange!

    @Julie: Merci! En rose, il doit être extra! (=

    @ndoodles: Maybe it's another model? And you are right, the fact that they weight nothing is exactly why I bought a netbook instead of a laptop =P

  8. It's a cute netbook! I know black is a more nicer color to have, but you'll be thanking yourself because it also shows fingerprints! I have a black netbook once, and it showed all these ugly fingerprints! Now I have a red one, and even that one shows fingerprints. Yuck!

  11. That's such a cool notebook! I love the simple white-ness. :)

    I think you're just not use to lipsticks on that's why it looks weird on you, whereas, it might look normal on others... hehe~

  12. Hi Gaby :) Really, you don't like the white finish? Actually, I really like the white colour of your new Samsung laptop - reminds me of an Apple notebook. And that's nice that you have a backlit display - is it backlit on the keyboard? I agree- 8 hours of battery life is very long for a computer. I'm really impressed. Will you have to run it on energy saving mode to keep it running that long unplugged??
    Once I got my first laptop, I know I wouldn't go back to regular desktop computers because of the convenience of portability for traveling especially. This is a good time to buy laptops with all the back to school specials :) I feel like my laptop will die out quickly sometimes :S My boyfriend keeps telling me to get an Apple notebook but I'm not sure if I'll like the operating system and I know for sure I"m a bit unhappy with the pricetag LOL

  15. @libbeh ♥: Oh yeah, you are right, I thought about this, though... but I guess a peraly black would be ok with fingerprints though?

    @Jenny: Isn' it? ^^

    @Princess Feef: Thanks!

    @Ahleessa: I know, I'm not used to see me wearing lipstick, but i prefer lipglosses anyway (=

    @A & C: I hope, too! But I'm loving it so far (=

    @sweet melody: Isn' t it? ^^
