Annabelle CC Colour Control Line - Take Control Of Your Skin Tone!

Ladies, I am so excited to share with you the latest Annabelle product launch! I have never tried a CC Cream so of course, I was eager to test Annabelle's new CC products, and I was not disappointed! In fact, these products are now firm favorites of mine, and I really enjoy using them every day.

The secret behind the unique CC oil-free formula is the microsized photoluminescent powders that create a beautifying blue light on skin surface - yet totally invisible to the naked eye! - that corrects instantly all color imperfections. The result is flawless, repaired skin and increased coverage.

L - R: Colour Control Instant Perfecting Base in Natural and Luminous

The product that completely blew me away is the Colour Control Instant Perfecting Base, which is an ingenious multi-tasking product that primes skin perfectly and evens out skintone. It controls skin colour by neutralizing redness, dull and even complexion, and it corrects by instantly reducing appearance of pores and fine lines and by leaving a flawless anti-shine finish. As if this was not enough, this base also primes skin for makeup and improves foundation wear.

This product is available in two finishes to fit your needs, Natural and Luminous, and although I have not properly tested the Luminous finish yet (which looks a bit scary at first, but I am sure it would make an amazing highlighter), I think it is safe to say the Natural finish is perfect for me! Its texture is similar to Marcelle's BB Cream, lightweight and non-sticky, and it goes on so smoothly, drying to a satin finish which I personally prefer to set with powder.

L - R: Colour Control Instant Perfecting Base in Natural and Luminous swatched

The most impressive thing about this base is that it completely blurs my humongous pores like no other product I have ever used - it seriously makes me want to throw the completely useless POREfessional in the garbage! I have always struggled to find a product that would be able to reduce their appareance, but Annabelle CC Instant Perfecting Base makes them completely disappear in a single application!

As for redness, I do need to use concealer on areas that require more heavy-duty coverage, such as around my eyes and on my patches of eczema, but that was expected since this is not a CC Cream, but a base. Since I don't wear foundation on a daily basis, I have only tried this product on its own and set with powder, and it does unify my skintone beautifully and infuse an healthy glow. Apparently, you could also mix it with your BB Cream foundation for a flawless natural complexion - I will be sure to try this!

I have never been fussy when it comes to packaging but this one is one of the most practical I have ever seen - light, mess-proof and sanitary. No need to worry about bacteria or anything, and the see-through bottle allows you to see how much product there is left. I need only a few pumps to cover my whole face and insist on problem areas, and I personally prefer to apply it with my fingers for a more natural finish.

Colour Control Pressed Powder in Medium/Dark

I was also excited about the Colour Control Pressed Powder since I have not had the chance to try a lot of pressed or loose powders so far, but I think it is safe to say it is the best one I have tried!

This product is an ultra fine silky pressed powder enriched with vitamin E and antioxidants which controls skin colour by neutralizing redness, dull and uneven complexion. When I saw that I had received the shade Medium/Dark (it is also available in Light/Medium), I was afraid it would turn me orange or leave me unflattering patchy brown spots on my face, but I was surprised that no actual color show up when swatched or applied on the face.

I quite like the cute and sleek plastic compact that includes a mirror and a small, flat and not so soft brush that I probably won't use, but I will keep it in case of emergency touch-ups, housed in a separated compartment underneath the products itself.

I am not really sure what they mean by "neutralizing" redness because this powder alone sure does not cover problem areas, but I like to use it on top of the base to ensure a flawless anti-shine complexion that no other powder have been able to provide - this product is actually able to keep my forehead oil-free until the end of the day, which is the first thing I am looking for in a face powder. You can also apply touches of white powder under the eyebrows or on the inner corner of the eyelids for a finishing touch that gives more luminosity to the skin - talk about a multi-tasking product!

Annabelle CC Colour Control Instant Perfecting Base and Pressed Powder are available in drugstores and mass retail stores across Canada for $16.95 each.
