☑ L'Oréal Sublime Mousse Conditioner
I absolutely HATED this mousse hair dye. The conditioner was OK, but I will not repurchase the hair dye. See my review to understand why.

☑ John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Illuminating Shampoo & Conditioner (sample)
Free samples are always nice, but I'm still not convinced by these shampoos and conditioners specifically desgined for brunettes. They didn't prevent my hair color from fading and they sure didn't illumniate it.

What I'm currently using to replace it: Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner
☑ Udderly Smooth Udder Cream Body Cream (sample) review
This must be one of the best body cream for my dry and eczema-prone skin. It is non greasy and it's absorbed very, very quickly into the skin, leaving it imediately smoothed and moisturized. I was actually quite surprised at how fast it soothed my dry and irritated skin and eased the itching due to eczema. This cream is also soooooo inexpensive ($2.75 for 4 oz. tube), I will be sure to repurchase it!
Repurchase: yes!!!
What I'm currently using to replace it: Jergens Naturals Aloe Soothing Body Moisturizer with Cucumber
☑ Fruits & Passion Orange Cantaloup Foaming Bath Cream
This is total crap! Despite its steep price ($23.00 for 250 ml), what you get is far from the "thick, creamy, fragrant foam", as claimed. The foam disappears after 10 minutes and even if the product smells great in the bottle, I can barely smell something once poured in the bath. It did leave my skin softer, but not enough to skip moisturizer.

What I'm currently using to replace it: random bath treats
☑ Fruits & Passion Blackberry Musk Foaming Bath
Again, very average foam that last about 10 minutes. Disappointing for the price.

☑ Biotherm Aquasource 24h Deep Hydration Replenishing Gel (sample)
This sample was very small so I'm not too sure what to say about it, except that gel moisturizers are never a great match for my dry skin, as most are not moisturizing enough.
Repurchase: no
What I'm currently using to replace it: Marcelle Hydra-C 24H Moisturizing Gel Cream for dry skin
☑ Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion (sample) review
This lotion is eco friendly, cruelty free and vegan and it can be used all over your body. Despites its formula being a little too light and watery for my liking, it works well but boy is it pricey ($25 for 4 oz)! For now, I'm currently testing a new face cream so I'm using the full-size version of this lotion on my hands to see if it will help with my eczema.

☑ NeoStrata Sunsation Insta-Tan For Face Deep Dark
I've had this for so long but I've never really been into self-tanners until recently, and I'm not sure if it's because it's too old or just because it's total crap, but I don't get a tan at all when I use this product. I have also tried it on my body but no, nothing. And it's supposed to be deep dark...

What I'm currently using to replace it: Clarins Intense Bronze Self Tanning Tint For Face and Decolleté
☑ Jergens Naturals Aloe Soothing Body Moisturizer with Cucumber review
Despite its light texture, this product is very moisturizing and I do think it has slightly helped with my eczema. I'm absolutely in love with the clean and fresh scent - perfect for summer!
Repurchase: yes
What I'm currently using to replace it: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Hand & Body Lotion
This product is a thermal serum that can be used as a leave-in conditioner, which I did and I feel it did a pretty great job. When I first used this product, I didn't feel it did something for my hair, but I changed my mind after a couple of days of using it. My hair were definitely softer, shinier and more manageable. I woould not repurchase because I think $29.99 for a 2oz bottle is definitely expensive!

i never tried the mousse hair colors b/c my hair is so thick and I don't think it would work for me; but I absolutly love the feria hair coloring. It makes my hair so shinny. I just bought a box in soft natural black and I'm coloring my hair this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteXo
Thanks for this! I think I have the udder cream lying around somewhere. I have to dig it up for my eczema, which is flaring up again ahhh! I miss my Diane Lai bottles. :(
ReplyDelete@LucyyLou: Aww yeah LUSH products are always so expensive! Udderly Smooth products are sooo cheap and they work amazing without being greasy!
ReplyDelete@ MaviDeniz: Well maybe I should have picked Soft Natural Black too because I'm really disappointed with the dark brown I used last month, my roots are still showing -_-
@Arianne: I think it works amazing on my eczema and it's wayyy more affordable than Diane Lai! Is till have to rely on my cortisone creams though ):
I love SkinMD! I used up the full size bottle I got and if only it weren't pricey, I would definitely buy one. It helps relieve the itch when my skin asthma acts up :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome post! You did a good job finishing things up. I think I only got through Philosophy shower gels. Thanks for the honest reviews!
ReplyDeleteLove these types of posts from you!
ReplyDeleteEven though you didn't like a lot of the products, well done on finishing up so many bottles! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteGoob job finishing all those products! Thanks for the review too. I always wanted to try the Udderly Smooth thing so now that I know it's good, I'll try it. :)
ReplyDeleteLove Udderly Smooth. It keeps my skin soft for hours.
ReplyDeleteWah, I admire how you finish so many products so often. XD I really want to try the Udderly Smooth cream now! :]
ReplyDeleteI love this kind of posts, they really help me to decide to buy or not to buy some products :)

lots of trash ( in the sense of lots of garbage of course) which also means new products * yay* btw i also always cut my bodyltions open like you did ;) xxx liv
Love this post!!! Very well laid out and a great read. I need to try out some more body products. I get so lazy and just stick to what I know haha
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of empties! The Udderly smooth cream sounds lovely and so cheap too! Will have to see if the products are available here in the UK.
ReplyDelete@ Pammy : Yeah I know, it's way too pricey for the super light consistency in my opinion. I prefer my creams and lotions to be thicker - I feel they are more moisturizing when they are thicker.
ReplyDelete@ KarenD : I'm glad you like these posts Karen, thank you!
@Kalmo @tiffyama : Definitely give it a go, it's super cheap!
@ liv : More and more people seems to be doing so, I thought I was so weird for doing it ahah!
@Ms Bubu : Hmm ça ne m'ait jamais arrivé qu'une odeur tourne sur moi, je ne comprends pas vraiment comment ça peut arriver? Je suis simplement déçue de la qualité pour le prix.
@Hannah: I think it's so fun to try new products! I can never stick to the smae ones for too long ahah!
i love skinmd..
ReplyDeletei seriously love your photos.. how the product always went so big? keep in touch hun!
Wow look at all the empties :)
ReplyDeleteI have used the sublime conditioner and it wasnt anything I would want to use again,as well I agree with you and the John Frieda shampoo...it's nothing special =\
I have wondered about Fruits and Passion but never ever tried anything from them, it doesn't sound amazing :( but the Jergens sounds really nice, I cant find that kind out here =\
This was helpful Gaby! :)
waah so many products! the bottle of Fruits & Passion Blackberry Musk Foaming Bath is really cute =D
ReplyDelete@Diane: Hmmm I'm not sure what you mean? For close-up, I use the macro setting (the little flower icon) and I stand as close as possible to the product (:
ReplyDelete@TaYgAn : Fruits & Passions is absolutely not worth it in my opinion, yes it's a Canadian company but it's too expensive for the quality. And I'm not talking only about the foamin baths! I also have tried their soaps, body lotions, body washes, body butters, hand creams, etc. I really enjoyed that Jergens lotion, it was refreshing to use in the summer, I used it so fast ahah!
@ Lina Kim ♥ : Ahah yes it's cute but too bad the product sucks ):
I LOVE John Frieda shampoos but I agree, I don't see the benefit to have specific ones, I haven't noticed any change in my hair colour either!
ReplyDeleteI'm frantically using up products to do a Gaby like empties post..can't wait. Love these. And I love the John Frieda brilliant brunette line, sorry it didn't work great for you!
