Shopping: Wal-Mart

This is a little haul from around three weeks, but I wanted to share with you what I got from my last visit to Wal-Mart.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat On sale for $5.97 I'm about to ditch top coats for good as none seems to work, it's so annoying! Plus, I tend to use them so fast because I like to re-apply another coat every few days. A while ago, I asked for top coats suggestions on Twitter and this one seemed great, as it claims to dry in 30 seconds and promises no-chip shine for up to 10 days. The thing is, it does dry in 30 seconds which is amazing, but no matter which nail polish I used, my manicure absolutely didn't last up to 10 days! Sooooo disappointing ):

Aveeno Active Naturals Eczema Care Cream $9.62 and Cetaphil RESTORADERM Eczema Moisturizing Lotion $14.37 Nothing really seems to work for the eczema on my hands, and Karen keeps telling me how great these two lotions worked for her, but I was hesitant to pay that much for some hand lotions as I already have so many. I finally caved in after I got a $2.00 off coupon on the Cetaphil Restoraderm lotion, and I decided to grab the Aveeno lotion as well as I couldn't find it anywhere before. I know it's a little too soon to tell but so far, I'm a little disappointed. I had high hopes for these lotions as they have both earned the Eczema Society of Canada Seal of Acceptance but still, I always have to go back to my cortisone creams. I know eczema won't heal overnight (there is no cure for eczema anyway), but still, I'm so fed up of it!

Glad Sense & Spray Automatic Room Spray Free If you follow my updates on Twitter and on my Facebook page, you shouldn't have missed this coupon! I chose the last Hawaiian Breeze available on the shelf, it smells soooo yummy! I like that it's motion-activated, that way, there's no "waste" of perfume.

I forgot to include this in my Monday post, but I just wanted to wish you a happy National Vegetarian Week (May 23 - 29)! Please try to have a ♥ this week!

  5. I've been using a top coat by Essie and I really like it. it does chip eventually, but I get at least 5 days out of it :) My polish has been chipping a lot because my nails underneath are peeling :(

  7. I have that lotion and I love it to bits. It's the only one I find that truly moisturizes my skin. The odor isn't pleasant but it does the job.

  8. Moi aussi je fais beaucoup d'eczéma sur mes mains, et ce qui m'a quand même un peu guéri c'est un ongent prescris par mon médecin qui se nomme Aristocort c'est de l'acétonide de triamcinolone ! Tu devrais essayer ! :)

  9. Aww piglet is adorable! (: I've always wanted a little pet piggy.

    Got some nice stuff! I'm looking for a good top coat brand too.

    Hope you find a solution for your skin soon! I'm sorry I can't be of much help.

  10. Hi Gaby! I got the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat too about a month ago and I LOVE it. My older sister recommended it to me and I can't believe how good it is. I won't be experimenting with any other top coat I don't think....well, depends I guess since I haven't tried this with konad patterns yet and not sure if it'll smear my mani with konad.
    That's too bad you're disappointed so far with the Aveeno and Cetaphil Eczema care cream products. I know you get to sample a lot of moisturizers so could it be that you are mixing too many products? Seriously, I think I'm going to do an eczema update because I'm not 100% completely rid of eczema. My skin and everything is 100% you can't even tell at all that I had eczema (I can't even tell). I still keep up with the Aveeno Eczema Body Wash using it for my hands and the Cetaphil or Aveeno handcream everyday - I find it's very very important that I only stay with these products. Hotel soaps and such really irritate my hands during the healing progress so I just don't give up and pack these with me during my travels.

  13. @Cherry : So disappointing! And this one isn't better )=

    @MaviDeniz: It's not weird if you don't plan to eat it LOL!

    @TEA aka MonsterGirl : Oh yes, I agree, never thought of that though... poor cats!

    @Prettyinthedesert: Oh yes I've had peeling problems on my nails a long time ago too, it sucks! Essie is not easily found where I live but I'll be on the look ouy for it. Thanks for the suggestion!

    @ Cocovanilla : C'est un bon truc, j'ai une couple de vernis transparents cheaps, je vais essayer ça, merci! Oui tu as raison pour le Glad Sense & Spray, j'ai aussi vu un contenant blanc mais c'est vraiment pas très beau, alors que celui-là fait plus décoratif, on dirait presque une roche (:

    @LadySophistifunk ☠ : I'm glad it works for you, I'll have to keep trying harder.

    @ FanshionBeauty : Je n'ai jamais entendu parler ce ce traitement, mais j'essaie de couper les traitements "forts" car la peau s’habitue et ils ne feront plus effet un moment donné...

    @Tiffo: I want a piglet too (:

    @Karen Law : Wow, I'm impressed at how well this top coat seems to work for you Karen! I'll have to give it another chance I guess. So far, it hasn't really work, and I have tried it with various nail polishes. Yes I know I need to stop switching moisturizers but I can't help it, I'm super curious! I'm looking forward to your eczema update post!

    @Lindsie Lee ♥: It's pretty, isn't it?

    @Tammy : I think you can play with the settings?

  15. I have the same problem and right now the palm of my hand is raw, skin all broken and extremely dry. I use the Cetaphil, but as of right now the palm of my hand itches like crazy. Have been to doctors. Have been given prescriptions. Have used but nothing. Have not tried the Aveeno one as yet, but as of now I am willing to give it a try.
