Review: Earthen InstantPeel

Created as a natural alternative to glycolic acid peels and dermabrasion, InstantPeel's combination of proteins and enzymes naturally and gently peels away dead skin cells impurities. But unlike most chemical skin peels and facial scrubs, InstantPeelTM is sensitization-tested and proven safe for even the most delicate skin.
InstantPeel does just what the name implies: it peels off dead skin cells revealing baby-soft skin.
  • Naturally glowing skin
  •  — Clinical results show highly significant improvement in skin's radiance following a single application.
  • Dramatically improved skin texture
  •  — Studies show InstantPeel's natural skin peel action significantly decreases flakiness.

I must admit I was sceptical at first, as I have already tried numerous peels, microdermabrasion treatments, exfoliators and such, all without proper results, except leaving my dry skin even more drier, but I was truly amazed at this product!

InstantPeel is really super easy to use, and it's good for use on face and body (althought I have only used it on my face as of yet). You will first have to let your face steam for five minute so that skin is moist and supple (but not wet!). This works best in the shower. Then take a small amount of product on your fingertips and start massaging the targeted area (I personally prefer to do this by area - forehead, cheeks, chin, etc). As you massage the product on your skin, you will start to see peels of dead skin. Continue to massage until the peeling cease and you're done!

I think it's truly awesome to be able to actually see the peels of dead skin, it's like a proof that the product is working. I have never seen something like this before!

This product is great for dry and sensitive skin as it didn't leave my face irritated or even drier. I could feel my skin being softer and smoother.

The texture is somewhat milky and can be a little bit runny and the product itself doesn't really smell something once massaged into the skin, but as soon as I opened the packet, I noticed quite a strange smell - I think "sour" is the only word I could use to describe it. Thankfully, it went away quickly.

The only things I dislike about this product is the price and the packaging. At $10 an application, it can be getting quite pricey! Personally, even thought these are single-use packets, I find that one is good for more than two applications (if you use it on your face). But if you plan to re-use the same packet, be sure to store it properly if you don't want a mess - which brings me to the second point. For $50, I would prefer to pay for a proper packaging, like a bottle or even a tub.

Recommend usage:
Oily skin - use 1x weekly
Normal skin - use 1x every 2 weeks
Sensitive or dry skin - use every 3 weeks
Or simply use as your skin requires

Price: $50.00 for 6 single-use packets Net Wt. 1.05 oz. (30g) at InstantPeel.com

Recommend? yes

  2. Peeling products always scare me as recently I've used one or two and have used too much product and been left with a horrible red patch on my face for about a week. :(
