Mardi Gras Gift Set from Community Coffee

Celebrate Mardi Gras 2011 with friends, family and business associates by sending this exclusive gift set which includes Carnivale Cake ground coffee and our Mardi Gras travel tumbler. To complete the duo we include Mardi Gras beads. Order yours today, as supplies are limited! Laissez les bons temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!) Carnivale Cake coffee is a medium roasted, Central American flavored coffee with a perfectly balanced blend of vanilla and cinnamon. Enjoy the flavor of Mardi Gras in every cup. [12 oz. bag]

I was supposed to receive this on time for Mardi Gras 2011 but I didn't. It's OK though as this coffee is delicious, and you don't need a special occasion to indulge in it, espcially if you are a coffee lover, like me! You can purchase the gift set for $12.95 at Community Coffee.com, but the coffe and the tumbler are available separately as well.

12oz Ground Private Reserve® Carnivale Cake ($8.69 for 12 oz)
This medium roasted Central American flavored coffee has a perfectly balanced blend of vanilla and cinnamon. Enjoy the flavor of Mardi Gras in every cup. Made with the top 1% Arabica premium and specialty coffee beans. [12 oz. easy open, re-sealable bag]

Hmmm this is absolutely delicious! When I realized it was a medium roast, I worried it would be too strong for my linking, but the vanilla prevents the coffee to taste too strong, and the cinnamon adds just the right amount of spice. I didn't even need milk or cream. It smells gorgeous, too.

It's a little disappointing that it's not available year round, though.

Mardi Gras Travel Tumbler ($6.95 for 16 ounces)

Celebrate Mardi Gras year round with this fun and festive tumbler. This premium tumbler holds 16 ounces, features a sleek design and swivel lid and is microwavable. What better way to enjoy your Community® coffee or tea on the go! To keep your tumbler looking its best, we recommend hand-washing. Please note that this product is not spill-proof.

This tumbler is big (it holds 16 ounces) and it's really thick. The design is cute, too. Too bad it's not spill-proof and leaks easily, which happens with most tumblers, unfortunately.

  5. Hi Gaby!
Great review :) That's too bad they don't sell this coffee year round - it sounds soooo yummy with the vanilla and cinnamon. I absolutely love both tastes and if you don't have to add any cream or milk in your coffee, that says a lot! How is the sugar content for the coffee?
Hmmm, I know the Cetaphil Restoraderm costs a bit more than the Aveeno Eczema Care Cream but both of them have done wonders for me and changed my life. I seriously do not have to rely on my steriod creams whatsoever. It's been quite some time since I got a flare up (since I last tried SkinMD Shielding Lotion back in December - that caused my last flare up). And honestly, I think my eczema will heal 100% because of the Aveeno Eczema Care cream and Cetaphil Restoraderm. I think it's just a matter of time before it's gone because my skin has healed SOOOO much.
And also, if you find that you still have flare ups and have to rely on steroid creams (which really don't help because I was stuck using mine for years just like you), then obviously none of the products are really working for you (not even Skin MD). I don't mean this in a mean way....but it might fool you into thinking products are working but if you still have to go back to heavy steroid creams, these products are really not working. Period. I've honestly never used something even as close as good as the Aveeno Eczema Care cream or Cetaphil Restoraderm. No more crazy itching (actually, almost no itching at all to be honest). No more flare ups. No more unsightly bumps or liquid oozing out of them on a bad day. I know what you go through. Anyways, both the products will always be part of my skincare routine and I even use regular Aveeno and regular Cetaphil as a body moisturizer. The only thing I notice about the couple of fingers on my right hand that had the eczema is that the skin is slightly rougher - but a bit of the Aveeno Eczema or Cetaphil restoraderm handcream throughout the day helps that.
I'm really glad that the silk pillows are helping your eczema on your face. But honestly, if you get a chance to buy the Aveeno Eczema Care cream or Cetaphil Restoraderm I would say stick to that (at least for your hands) and hopefully it works wonders like it did for me :)
Thanks for always sharing your story Gaby.

  6. That's so cool you're getting coffee to review.

You definitely should get the Kabuki brush from Too Faced on Apothica since you had gift certificate. I have the Kabuki brush and love it! :)
