February Empties

Fruits Scents Strawberry Body Butter

I got this for $1.50 at the dollar store, and I don't even know why I picked it up... I'm a sucker for body butters, but I should have known that for this price, it was too good to be true! This is far from a body butters, it's in fact a super light lotion. It absolutely didn't moisturize my dry skin )=

Repurchase? no

What I'm currently using to replace it:  Burt's Bees Baby Bee Skin Creme

☑ Bodycology Cucumber Melon Body Butter

Just like the Brown Sugar Vanilla one I have used up the past month, this body butter is not moisturizing at all, and it couldn't calm my itchy skin. The scent is better than the other one though!

Repurchase? no

What I'm currently using to replace it:  Burt's Bees Baby Bee Skin Creme

☑ SPAresource Vanilla Sugar Body Butter

SPAresource body butters are my favorites butters ever! The texture is perfect, the scent lingers until the next shower, and I can feel my skin staying moisturized all day long! Oh and these body butters are so inexpensive.

Repurchase? yes!!

What I'm currently using to replace it:  Burt's Bees Baby Bee Skin Creme

☑ Pantene Color Hair Solutions Color Preserve Shine Shampoo and Conditioner (50 mL)

Besides the scent (green apple, yum!), I didn't notice anything special with these products.

Repurchase? no

What I'm currently using to replace it: L'Oréal Paris Vive Pro Colour-Vive Shampoo and Alberto VO5 Deep Nourishing Moisture Intensive Mask 3 Minute Mask

☑ Alpen Secrets Tea Tree & Mint Foot & Leg Cooling Gel

This refreshing gel is great, especially in the summer after sepnding a long day outside. I'm not sure if it really moisturized my feet but it sure felt good!

Repurchase? yes

What I'm currently using to replace it: Barielle Total Foot Care Cream

☑ Fruits & Passion Cocoa Hand Butter

At first, I thought this butter would be amazingly moisturizing due to its super thick texture, but I was disappointed. Plus, it's super expensive for such little quantity of product.

Repurchase? no

What I'm currently using to replace it: Earth Therapeutics Gardener's Hand Repair Protective Conditioner

☑ Fruits & Passion Orange Cantaloup Eau de fruits

This fragrance is very light, fresh and fruity. I wouldn't wear it to go out at night but it's a great everyday perfume if you're into a scent more subtle.

Repurchase? yes

What I'm currently using to replace it: Calgon Take me away! Brazilian Beauty Passion fruit & Brazil Nut Body Mist

  ☑ Nude Miracle Mask (sample)

This mask was interesting to try. It quickly dry on your skin to form an invisible layer. But I didn't notice any benefit for my skin.

Repurchase? no

What I'm currently using to replace it: Avon Solutions Winter Moisturizing Hydratation Mask

  13. @Cynthia Z: Hahah I know, but it's the best way to get every last bit of product in a tube.

@Anna Elizabeth : I find that posting the products I have used up keeps me motivated. I don't know why?

@Hypnotiz3m3 : J'adore leur beurres corporels, je trouve que c'est tellement les meilleurs pour le prix! Ah et leur crème à mains sont extras aussi, je n'en achèterai plus jamais d'une autre marque que celle-là!

@Rakhshanda: Thanks hun, I'm glad you like it (=

    @Shang J. : Thank you! I'm quite produ of myself (=

@christine: I loved this fragrance too but I don't really like Fruits & passion products, they are too expensive and you derfinitely don't get what you pay for x=

    @SweetLikeJelly : I totally agree!

@Amy : You should, I find it so motivating!

@KatXoXo : For now, I'll stick to drugstore body butters as SPAresource is my favorite. But I won't repurchase from Bodycology, that's for sure!

@dani@callitbeauty : Thanks! Yes, sometimes it's hard to stick to a specific product, but it's so worth it in the end (=

@Pammy (PammyBlogsBeauty) : They are my favorites (=

@Tracy D: It's not always easy, but it's rewarding in the end!

  14. Hi Gaby! This is a fantastic post! It's great to see someone using ALL of their products. I'm so bad, I have a heap of half-empty things. I loved the cut-up products, that was so funny!

  15. nice post and thats a lot of empties for a month lol. i dont think I empty that much in a month. its funny how we never realize how much we go through in a month until we see something like this. its nice that you say if you would repurchase or not :)

  16. I honestly should use up my stuff more... But I just can't make myself put lotion on after every shower... BAD, I know.

I love how you cut up the tubes and used up everything!

  17. Hi Gaby! I love your empties posts because it's a quick review of so many things you finished.
Hmmm usually I've had a good experience with fruits and passions products - although I have not tried too many of their products, I really love the ones that I have tried/bought (like their Cucina line).
I remember when I use to buy body butters from Wal-mart - and I did buy the Vanilla Sugar one before. It's decent for the price but now that I'm not so tight on my budget I get the Vanilla Body Shop lotion since the scent is just out of this world for me.

  18. Salut Gaby!

  19. @Beauty meets Kawaii : I love the feeling of acomplishment when I use up something. And I like to cut tubes to get the last bits of product hehe!

@anabelle: These posts help me keep track of my previous purchases and so I can refer to them when it's time to repurchase something. I'm glad you liked it!

@Chrissy: Really? I just can't pass on lotion after a shower, my skin will feel so dry!

@Karen Law: These posts are a reference for me when it's time to repurchase something. I haven't tried lots of Fruits & Passion products but I've been disappointed most of the time (hand creams is too light, foaming bath doesn't foam long enough, etc). I'm happy with drugstore products so I don't feel the need to buy more expensive products, and when I do, I hate being disappointed. I haven't tried any The Body Shop products but I really want to give a try to their body butters sometimes when I'll have more cash to spend on beauty products!
