Crest 3D White 2 Hour Express Whitestrips - Before

My teeth are naturally yellow, and to make things worst, I'm addicted to coffee and tea. I wouldn't say I'm complexed by the color of my teeth but let's admit it - having white teeth is always better, isn't it?

I have tried many kinds of whitening products such as toothpaste and mouthwash but nothing really worked, so when I was given the opportunity to try Crest 3D White 2 Hour Express Whitestrips, I jumped at the chance!

So, what life events would you whiten for in just 2 hours with the Crest 3D White 2 Hour Express, you ask? Well, I have a couple of important things coming up: a new job, a party for the launch of some new Marcelle and Annabelle products and a Halloween party. I thought these events were a great opportunity to look my best!

I am currently wearing the strips as I'm typing this post, so I will leave you with a "before" shot of my teeth and I will report back in a few days with the results... and a little surprise for you!

Yuck, I know!

Crest 3D White 2 Hour Express Whitestrips are available for $54.99 at mass retailers and drugstores nationwide. For more information and to grab a coupon, visit www.3DWhite.com and "like" them on Facebook.

  4. I'm sorry, but I'm not surprised that you've featured this on your blog even though it is not cruelty-free and you're being payed for the review. Unless this was sent before you're decision to use cruelty free products. I'm a bit disappointed in your decision to do that.

  5. Good luck! Your teeth are really straight so I don't think they're bad at all :)

In what way are they not cruelty free? :(

  7. @ Arezu: I wanted to answer to your comment by email by since I can't find it anywhere on your blog, I guess I'll have to answer here.

This product was indeed sent before my decision to go cruelty-free. Like I said numerous time, because this decision is recent and I want to be honest with my readers, I will always disclose if a product featured on my blog is tested on animals or not. I also hope it's understandable that I can't simply throw away the products I have previously purchased that have unfortunately been tested on animals - believe me, I wouldn't hesitate if I were rich! My goal is to use up those products but not repurchase them in the future. Also, Gaby's Beauty Blog will no longer accept for review purposes products that have been tested on animals (the reason why these Whitestrips have been featured on here is because they have been sent before my decision to go crulety-free, like I mentionned earlier, and also because I don't know any whitening products that aren't tested on animals).

Another thing: I never claimed to have gone completely cruelty-free, like I previously mentionned. Do you know how hard it is to find a teeth whitening product that is cruelty-free, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and that actually works?

What is the matter of me being paid for a review? I didn't have to disclose this information but I chose to because I want to be honest with my readers. Plus, you have no idea what is going on in my life so you don't know why I need this money.

Finally, unless you are cruelty-free or vegetarian too, I don't see why you would have the right to tell me what to do.

I'm sorry if I sounded rude and if I lose you as a reader because of that, but I felt attacked by your comment. No matter what I do, people will always have something to say anyway.

  13. Hi Gaby! Your teeth don't look bad at all - trust me, I've taken pictures of my teeth too and I thought, holy crap they're yellow...but when I look at pictures with my friends, somehow I usually have the whitest teeth (okay, no offence to my friends at all! I still love them!). I don't do whitening at all. Period. Not toothpaste, not gum and not mouthwash. I purposely buy products that DO NOT have whitening stuff in them. I brush my teeth with sensodyne everyday and it works great...I just have really sensitive teeth and years ago when I tried Crest White Strips (it was a much milder version of the one you are trying now) it hurt my teeth badly after one application and I didn't feel right about it. So ever since then, I don't touch whitening products. But I always see them in stores so they must be selling well to the majority of people, perhaps as yourself, who don't have teeth sensitivity issues. I hope it really works out for you Gaby :) I'm looking forward to the "After" pictures!

  14. I'm not much of a commenter but I saw on your twitter that a negative comment really got to you.

Don't let it get to you. You always make your disclaimers clear which I think is honest. Plus, I find your reviews thorough regardless of if you purchased the product or not.

Personally I got these strips from ChickAdvisor and didn't like them cause I got major sensitivity. Also I didn't notice a difference but I do hope they work for you.

  15. Gaby, you don't have to explain. You do a review, you mention that is cruelty free or not and reader can make a decission, to buy it or no. It's not a big deal.
    Have a good weekend!

  16. @ Ezzy: I'm glad you appreciate my honesty! Yes I've heard great things about these strips too, that's why I was very eager to try them even if they are not cruelty-free because I don't know any cruelty-free teeth whitening products z=

@Girlie Blogger: I know, coffee and tea are deadly, but I just can't help it! I'm addicted!

@ Jennifer : Thank you for the support hun, I really appreciate it x

@ Karen Law : Hi Karen! I don't have any teeth sensitivity but these strips hurt so bad! I've been warned by Taygan and another blogger friend but I had to try them anyway since I've been sent them for free. I won't use the remaining strips for sure, I don't want to go through that again! It's crazy how it made my teeth sensitive! I can't imaging the pain you endured if your teeth were already sensitive to begin with x=

@Mindy : Thank you so, SO much for your comment hun, I really appreciate your support. I'm not sure if I really notice a difference on my teeth either, I guess I was expecting them to be pearly white, especially for the pain I endured ):

@ Supergirl : Thank you for the support hun, it's much appreciated. Have a good weekend too! x

Also you are so honest with everything that we could never be disappointed when you are reviewing something!
Don't let anyone tell you other wise, you do a wonderful job of all the cruelty free you do on your blog and I look up to you for that!
