Being young is all about having a packed life and that's just how it should be.
From teens to mid-twenties it is important to have a trusted skincare range that will nurture your skin, help prevent premature ageing and brighten tired, dull and lifeless days...not to mention the effects of those late nights!
As the leading British skincare brand with a heritage for formulating products for a busy lifestyle, we believe that skincare begins with Elemis FreshSkin. However, with Elemis it is not just about skincare, it's also about a way of living.
The Elemis FreshSkin range consists of nine new products desgined especially for teens to twenties:
- Peachy Perfect Gentle Face Wash
- Skin Glow Gentle Face Wash
- Softly Softly Daily Moisturiser
- Dreamy Sleep Night-Time Moisturiser
- Tired Eyes Soothing Eye Rescue
- Loving Lips Quenching Lip Balm
- Make Up Away Cleansing Wipes
- Deep Clean & Magical Moisture Face Mask Duo
Each product is formulated with active raw ingredients, such as elderflower, rosehip seed oil, apple, blackcurrant, goji berry, geranium combined with skin kind bases specially chosen for their ability to help cleanse, exfoliate, prevent damage, moisturise and boost skin's elasticity to keep it youthful for longer.
I've been using some of these products for about a month now, and I think it's time to share my thoughts with you.
Softly Softly Daily Moisturiser ($38.00 for 50ml)
Breathe life into your skin...
Enriched with seaweed extract, this light and non-greasy daily moisturiser helps protect and moisturise. Rosehip seed oil and sweet almond oil deliver soothing and softening qualities ensuring the skin receives an instant hydrating boost. Skin is left revitalised and more radiant.
The first thing I noticed about this product is its texture. As I have dry and eczema-prone skin, I can't get away with light lotion, I need a heavier moisturizer, and this one absolutely didn't disappoint. The consistency isn't as light as a lotion, but not as thick as a super heavy cream - just perfect. It's absolutely not greasy and sinks right into the skin.
The scent is very subtle and I can't really define it. It smells a blend of plants to me, it's not a chemical scent.
I don't think I have seen a similar packaging before, and I must say I really like it! The pump is perfect, it dispenses the right quantity of product every time, it's hygienical (unlike those jars or tubs) and the size is perfect to throw it in your handbag.
This moisturiser leaves my skin soooo soft, it moisturises my dry skin really well and it makes a great makeup base.

Deep Clean & Magical Moisture Face Mask Duo ($30.00 for 6 X 7ml sachets)
Relax, it's mask time...
Deep Clean Purifying Face Mask X 3
This rebalancing facial mask has a blend of natural clays, goji berry extract and frankincense oil to help draw out impurities and refine the skin whilst vitamin E softens and soothes.
Magical Moisture Quenching Face Mask X 3
This super softening mask contains white lupin, artic cranberry seed oil and apple extract to deliver an instant moisture boost to dry skin, while aloe vera gently soothes. Leaves skin radiant and exceptionally soft.
While the idea of a mask duo could be interesting for someone who has normal or combination skin, I find it a little useless for someone who has dry skin (like me) as I usually opt for moisturizing masks, so I won't find myself using the Deep Clean mask very often, as it can be a little drying. For $30, I guess I would prefer to be able to purchase 6 sachets of the Magical Moisture mask, but as I said, that is my personal opinion, and it depends on your skin type.
Otherwise, the Deep Clean mask has a nice thick consistency while the Magical Moisture mask is lighter and sinks right into the skin. In fact, it feels like slathering on lotion! You don't need a lot of product to cover your whole face so one sachet will last you for more than one use.
The Deep Clean mask didn't seem to have really done something for my dry skin (I didn't notice it being soothed or soften) but the Magical Moisture mask left my skin super soft and smooth, I was amazed!

You have convinced me to check out their web site! =)
That mask looks awesome! So does the moisturizer! Your skin looked great after!
ReplyDeletethis may just be the answer to my skin problems ( i break out all the time) must pick some of this range up :) x
ReplyDeleteHi Gaby! Great review :) It must be fun to try out a British skincare line.
ReplyDeleteThe Magical Moisture Mask sounds great - I hope it was able to help out with any of your eczema although I know you don't have that problem much if at all on your face.
Yes the deep clean mask (a clay mask) can be drying if your skin is already dry or easily irritated. I use a clay mask twice a week though as well as an exfoliator....I find it helps to remove impurities (or at least I hope it does LOL)
I like your new profile picture too :)
Oh and I tried the hair twist for DIY hair waves that you posted on blogger a few posts before and my hair came out so frizzy :( I'm going to try it with some product in my hair beforehand next time to help with that. Your hair looked so nice in the "after" picture with the waves.
@Cherry @Vintage Makeup @Jessy: I especially like the moisturizing mask (=
@Tass: I love it, even though it can be a little too heavy for the summer weather.
@Love Camie : Thanks!
@TEA aka MonsterGirl: You should, those products are great, although I have no idea how much the shipping costs z=
@Red lips, Black hair : I especially like the moisturizing mask, it leaves my skin soooo soft and smooth! The moisturizer is great too, really moisturizing.
@Adrienne : You should definitely check out the website (=
@Karen Law: Yes I do have random patches of eczema on my face (on my forehead and on my right temple) but I'm able to keep them under control most of the time. My hand is much more annoying x= I try to stay away from clay mask as I prefer one with moisturizing properties, but I do use ont once in a while. Thanks for my profile picture, I was taking pictures for my review of Batiste dry shampoo and I thought this one came out well (= Awww that's too bad this didn't work on your hair! Maybe your hair is just too frizzy for it? But I had this problem before and I find it helps when you calm down the frizz a little with a flat iron. Hope it will work next time!
This line sounds promising. Thanks for the review and pictures!:D
ReplyDeleteI want to try Magical Moisture.:D
