First cooking post! Marshmallow Hedgehogs

I don't like cooking because I'm very fussy when it comes about food. I don't like meat or vegetables. In fact, I could live on pastas for the rest of my life! In fact, I can't even cook an egg. But I love cooking desserts, because desserts are yummy! And so, seeing a lot of you posting recipes on your blog, I decided I would post a dessert I did yesterday.

It's called Marshmallow Hedgehogs, but my final results don't really look like hedgehogs because: 1. I used a fork instead of a toothpick to dip the marshmallows in the preparation, 2. I didn't used chocolate chips to give them eyes. Anyway, who cares!

You will need:
  • 12 oz (385 ml) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 500 g (18 0z) marshmallow
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereals

So you basically combine the evaporated milk with the brown sugar, the corn syrup and the butter in a saucepan and heats the mix for 12 to 15 minutes while sitrring constantly (don't let it make bubbles!). Remove it from the oven and add the vanilla.

Next, with a toothpick (or a fork), you simply dip the marshmallows in the mixture, and then in the cereals. Place the marshmallows on a cookie plate (or a dish) and let them sit for around 25 minutes (until they become harder).

Cover lightly.

Tadaah!!

I would personally not do this again, because it took me 1 hour only to dip the marshmallows, but I guess it's worth it =D
