Green Virgin Soap Nuts Liquid Laundry Detergent - How Clean is Your Laundry Detergent?

Many consumer branded laundry detergents contain toxic ingredients. Whether it’s Diethanolamine, Quaternium-15, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) or some other chemical, it’s a good idea to understand the harmful potential that ingredients such as these can pose to you and your family.

But what about potentially harmful ingredients not shown on the label? Particularly Dioxane, which is a by-product of the process called ethoxylation, a cheap shortcut process many companies use to provide mildness (in other words, reduce risk of skin irritation) to harsh cleaning ingredients. This process requires the use of the cancer-causing petrochemical ethylene oxide, which generates 1,4-Dioxane as a by-product. Many top laundry detergent brands contain this synthetic petrochemical which is considered a probable carcinogen, yet it is not required to be listed on product labels! It is not yet fully understand how much 1,4 dioxane is needed to give someone cancer, but the bottom line is that Tide and Tide Free and Gentle are contaminated products.

There are safer alternatives in the market place that work just as well as major consumer brands. One new product to consider is Green Virgin Soap Nuts Liquid, which not only contains natural, non-toxic ingredients; but does not contain even a trace of 1,4 Dioxane! Soap Nuts Liquid is made with USDA Certified Organic Sapindus Mukorossi Soap Nuts (a berry that grows on the Chinese Soap Berry Tree and has the highest saponin(surfactant) content of any plant). The saponin is extracted using only water, and all the solids and tannins are then removed and deodorized - this is all done using high tech filters using no chemicals, only water! This is an important step and one that most of Green Virgin's competitors are not capable of.

Green Virgin Soap Nuts Liquid Detergent comes in a pump top bottle, which dispenses an accurate measured amount each pump. For an average load in an front loader washer, use 2 pumps, and for an average load in a top loader, 3 pumps will do the job. Despite what you may have read elsewhere, Green Virgin Soap Nuts work in hot, warm or cold temperatures, although washing in cold water  saves money and lowers your carbon footprint which helps our planet.

Green Virgin Products is starting their own movement to convert more consumers to using Soap Nuts Liquid Detergent as a way to make a positive impact on the planet. In addition to the non-toxic, safe attributes of this product, it also has a negative carbon footprint. This is one environmentally responsible product that actually works. Just one 8 oz. bottle of Green Virgin Products’ Soap Nuts Liquid does 120 loads of laundry!

Green Virgin Soap Nuts Liquid Laundry Detergent is available on the Green Virgin website in two formats:$18.95 for 8oz and $34.95 for 16oz.
