#weledahairdare - Weleda Oat Replenishing Collection + GIVEAWAY

Weleda wanted to challenge me and my readers to rediscover our hair’s natural beauty and take the 30-day #weledahairdare. I was very fortunated to be sent the Weleda Oat Replenishing collection, and they also offered to send it to a lucky reader of Gaby's Beauty Blog, so you can take the #weledahairdare, too!

Certified by NATRUE and developed with nature in mind, Weleda’s Oat Replenishing Shampoo, Conditioner & Treatment formulas give the hair and scalp exactly what they need and no more. The power of the oats supports hair in establishing a healthy structure, prevent split ends and restores shine and bounce. The Weleda hair care collection is free of synthetic fragrances, silicones, sulfates, mineral oils, preservatives and colourants.

Made with 72% organic ingredients, Oat Replenishing Shampoo ($13.75 for 6.4 FL OZ) contains organic oat extract to help strengthen hair, reduce breakage and mend split ends, organic jojoba seed oil to restore, protect and smooth the hair’s surface, while organic sage leaf extract revitalizes and protects from damage. The mild, biodegradable surfactants in Weleda hair-care products ensure excellent cleansing despite producing little foam and are tailored to the individual needs of the scalp and hair. The formula of the shampoo is a bit runny - although I have seen worse - but even though it's free of sulfates, it does produce a nice lather. While it leaves my hair clean after washing it, I was sad to notice that my roots tend to get greasy by the third day - this can't be attributed to the fact that I am not used to sulfate-free and natural shampoos, since I have not used shampoos with sulfates on my hair for more than a year. This shampoo has a very subtle herbal smell due to mimosa flowers and tonka beans in the formulation.

Oat Replenishing Conditioner ($13.75 for 6.4 FL OZ) contains organic oat extract as well as white mallow extract which provides intensive moisture, while organic jojoba seed oil smoothes hair’s surface. Organic coconut oil will leave strands shiny and soft. I absolutely love the texture of this product - it is very thick, almost like a body butter! It leaves my hair smooth and shiny. This conditioner has a similar flowery scent to the shampoo with an added touch of coconut.

Made with organic oat extract, the Oat Replenishing Treatment ($16.25 for 5 FL OZ) is ideal for hair damaged by heat styling or chemical processing. A powerful mix of vitamin-rich organic sea buckthorn oil and organic shea butter protects from damage, nourishes scalp and adds an extra dose of moisture. This treatment reminds me a lot of the conditioner - it has almost the same texture, if not a bit thicker, and the same subtle herbal and coconuty scent. It does leave my hair shiny, soft and smooth, although I wish it would be a bit more moisturizing.

Weleda Oat Replenishing collection is available at weleda.ca, well.ca, Rachelle-Béry and natural independent health food stores.

And here is your chance to take the #weledahairdare too! Good luck!
